timeless beauty

these are the results of my first try at macarons...

a delightful sweet confectionery

I wanted my first ones to be

PINK!

so I gathered these pretty pink supplies

~

* cherry pink powder dye

* sparkly edible pink glitter

* metallic pink dragees

and whipped up the batter! 

traditionally,

macarons are smooth on top

but

 these are Venus inspired

so...I call these,

pink goddess macarons!

~

here is a just piped,  

single pink macaron

waiting for a shell to form before baking ~

and to give it a good foot...

next comes the filling...

now we sandwich them together and

TADA!!

I have never tasted a macaron before...

these were my first

and they

were

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

!!!!

I am already gathering supplies for another try

hhhmmmmm

maybe black raspberry...

or maybe

limon margarita...

what do YOU think they should be? 

but for now...
