what kind of woman will i be today?
will i think clearly
and react to pressures with controlled calmness
creating a positive ripple effect ~
or
become bent out of shape,
because i allow myself to be caught up in negativity
and make things appear worse because i'm out of focus...
do i dare love myself
the way i am...
and continue striving
to be the best authentic self i can be,
building on what i hope is a more
~ graceful foundation ~
or
will i allow self doubt
to render me useless...
speechless
and
unable to spread inspiration...
will my tattered wings
be a strong enough to fly against all odds
ready to meet the challenges of the day
participating in each and every moment ~
or
will i instead,
sit in a corner
and be merely a spectator
and watch the world go by...
will i drink in each and every precious moment
and be grateful to count my blessings in this day ~
realizing that none of us know the hours we have been given.
and so,
instead of wasting time
couldn't i instead savor each and every drop
stirring up sweetness as i go??
