...hello dear ones!
I hope you had a happy 3 day weekend!
I just love those kind of weekends,
it's like getting an extra free day!!
wwhhhhoooo-hhhooooo
An extra day to get moooooore things done!
In between grilling,
I spent most of the weekend
Organizing!
We have been in our new home for about 3 months,
and feel as if our home is becoming elegantly comfortable
I really enjoy arranging spaces ~
places where I spend alot of time
into little vignettes
can you guess where this is??
hint:
see those rolled up thingeys?
they are dish towels!
I'm always on the lookout for lovely but functional dish towels!!
if you guessed, my kitchen, you are correct!
This vignette is next to the sink...
sometimes I light my Crabtree and Evelyn candle
for when I'm washing the dishes ~
I'm cultivating "everyday romance" in our lives
as good is now!!
this is a most sumptious candle
that has pearls and sparkly pretties IN the wax and smells oh-so-lovely!
I also have a thing for candles...
and I adore this portrait...
it's just so "Howard's End" like to me!
I wonder who that young child was
and what he was thinking!
I'm not sure why,
it just speaks to me...
and here is where the lovely Lily,
my resident owl princess has chosen to put her nest...
She sits with her little ones above my pantry
and hoots happy thoughts to me!
a few of my pretties...
I just can't get enough of glass cloches!!
I made the "Think Happy Thoughts" sign
from a piece of reclaimed board from my moms cottage farmhouse
so I always have a piece of home with me!
this is a linen lined wire basket
full of handmade jams of all my favorite fruits!!
...can you tell that
I'm having so much fun rearranging all my pretties?!
Somehow they feel new,
but at the same time like an old friend that just knows me!
What are some of the favorite things that surround you in Your kitchen??
stop by later this week,
I will show you an awesome thrift store find
that I would really like your opinion on!!
okay...
I'll give you a hint:
here's to vignettes that bring us happy thoughts!

Love you counter vignette! I am wondering - did you make the pretty tiered tray that you have your towels on or was this pretty thing purchased? I love it!
